Brian Belefant featured artist at 10th Annual Chehalem Winery Celebration of the Arts.
Belefant will be showing his latest work, Oregon Photographed Through Pinot Noir, featuring photos through a camera filter contraption filled with Oregon Pinot Noir. It's part of his ongoing series of work which is entirely photographed through liquids relevant to the subject. Portugal through 20-year-old tawny port, Turkey through Turkish coffee, Montreal through maple syrup, and the American south through Luzianne ice tea round out this body of work for which Belefant won Photographer of the Year by the International Color Awards in 2006.
The festival will be held on August 23-24 at the winery from 12-5 p.m. Food is served, musicians Kit Garoutte and Alfredo Muro are featured, and wine is poured. In addition to their Dry Riesling and Reserve Pinot Gris, they'll be previewing two of their 2006 wines, the Stoller Vineyards Pinot Noir and the Ridgecrest Vineyards Pinot Noir.
