Fashion Photography series Autoctono, by Irene Peña

This fashion photography series was shot in 2007 on location,at the Organization for Tropical Studies reserve in Sarapiqui Costa Rica, called "La Selva".
Model Rosaura Zamora is wearing pieces from the collection" Autoctono",which was the Universidad Creativa graduation project for costarican fashion designer Alvaro Nuñez Salazar.
The concept behind this beautiful collection was to create a collection of unique pieces that reflects our costarican identity & roots.
The textiles that where used to create this collection where made by women from the costarican indigenous community called Borucas, using traditional materials and technics, that reflected their heritage.
